FAREWELL MESSAGE TO A STUDENT

NALEDI,
From the time I started teaching in 1997, year after year I would relive the pain of parting with students I had come to love and dedicate my time to, in terms of imparting skills and knowledge although they were finally leaving to either pursue further training or to enter the working world.
Over the years, I have taken pride in knowing that in one way or other, God has granted me the opportunity to contribute to the lives of these learners.  But above all, my prayer has been that the God who saved me and causes me to shed abroad his love, would continually help me not to misrepresent Him for He is a God of love.
With training comes pruning which may be painful (the punishments or red marks in notebooks) but just as God corrects us because He loves us, I hope and trust that, that was evident in my dealings with you.
My farewell message to you is this: “Remember your creator in the days of your youth…. Seek the Lord whilst He may be found … live to love, fear and honour God”.  I also pray that He will open doors for you academically and workwise so that you may remain true to your name … NALEDI  “STAR”.  Don’t dim the light by following youthful lusts.  The pleasures of this world do pass away.
FAREWELL!!!                    FAREWELL!!!                          FAREWELL!!!

MANAGING OUR TIME

Self-assessment on a daily basis is an effective way to manage our time. At the end of each day, take stock of the things you have done and assess whether these things were worth spending time on. Be truthful about how much time was spent or wasted and discover ways of doing the work within a shorter period the next time you attempt a similar assignment. This is what diligence is. Being smart! It is the ability to meticulously accomplish a task within the shortest possible time. Just as practice makes perfect, practice entails finding better and faster ways of doing the same thing.
